Road to Tater Hill is about a little girl name Annie. Annie is staying with her mother, grandmother and grandfather around a hill called "Tater Hill". Her father is away in Germany for the Air force and wont come back till the end of the summer. This summer her mother is having a baby girl. Annie later finds out the the baby girl dies during birth/5(7). Edith Hemingway crafts Road to Tater Hill with considerable literary skill. The plot is slightly slow and not particularly original, but don’t let the slow beginning keep you from getting to the heart of the story. Annie’s voice is fresh and genuine, showcasing a clear understanding of the mind and heart of a year-old girl.
